Tiger Woods

I am not sure about anyone else, but I just have to say I am sooooo over hearing about cheating Tiger Woods. I mean really. We have very few days left until Christmas. Including today we only have 10 shopping days left.
I would much rather tune into my favorite morning television shows for shopping, decorating and Holiday recipes. Not the latest on someone who does not deserve so much press. It makes me sad that each of my favorite shows this morning dedicated so much time to talking about Tiger and his poor, poor family.....
What about the families who have loved ones protecting our country or dedicating their lives in positive matters.
I understand we are a society that is so consumed with being able to watch a celebrities daily lives, but come on already. But when is enough enough already?
Sorry I just felt the need to hop up on my soap box and get it out...

So I am vowing to make the change for me , one person at a time. I am not going to listen to or watch anything that has to do with that topic anymore. If it comes on I am turning the channel. Hmm maybe I will shoot my favorite shows an email and share my opinion.. Uhh maybe not.. Would much rather spend the rest of my day getting ready for Christmas!!!! Woo Hoo to that!!

SO it just dawned on me that although fun for me, I did not create my Blog to talk about Best Buy. Yes they are surely a thorn in my side at the moment.

I am also here for so much more. I write on an amazing site called EHOW!!
LOve it! It is the best!
You can share knowledge and find out just about anything. I love reading all of the great parenting tips as well as checking out new recipes. The best part.... The story continues... Best Buy , Best yeah right...

So where did I leave off ? Oh yeah no one in to fix my MAC. Or no one that feels comfortable opening one up rather...

So I left my beautiful year old MAC in the trusted hands of the Geek Squad... That was Saturday morning that I was told it would be sent out and someone would contact me about getting it to the lab if the hard drive was in fact bad. I was told that nothing would be lost. All they would have to do is send it to the lab.. ( They kept saying lab like it was some magical place)
Well I did in deed get a call the very next day. From a young lady who told me that my hard drive was bad and that they needed to send it out and would have someone call me as soon as they know how much the hard drive back up would be.
Shoot I almost forgot, the original guy that took it in charged me $99.99 to do a back up. I asked him why I was being charged if he was pretty certain that they could not do any backing up or repairs on site? And I asked why I would have to pay for anything when I paid for the extended warranty?
Well he told me that it was standard..
HMMM? I guess standard means we want your money..

So any how the young lady who was not part of the Geek Squad told me that someone would be getting back to me and she assured me that my MAC would be sent out within the next 2 days.

I asked her if I could speak to someone in the Geek Squad and she told be they were to busy to take my call and that is why she was calling me for them. I the asked her for the managers name which she gave me and asked if he was in. She told me he was not and that I could speak to any of the managers on duty if I would like..
I told her no thanks and asked when the manager, the General manager would be in next that I would like to speak to him.....
Well the young lady who was growing very impatient with me told me that she had no idea when he would be in , I asked if they had a schedule posted that she could check and she told me
" No, they don't tell us when our manger will be here"
I don't know about any of you , but I have never heard of anything like that . I was a retail manager for 5 years and trust me, my employees knew my schedule... But who knows maybe this is some new fancy high tech way of running a multi-billion dollar company.....

Well I took matters into my own hands after feeling like I was getting no where super fast with this young Best Buy Employee..
The very next day I spent 1 and a half hours of my life on the phone with Best Buy customer service. Those minutes ticked by and I will never get them back..
I had the very unpleasant experience of speaking to someone that really hated their job.
I was told that Best Buy would not do anything for me in terms of my hard drive recovery. He now called it a recovery and not a back up.
So what did I pay the $99.99 for days earlier then?
Well after a going no where fast conversation I decided to ask the gentlemen, and I use the term gentlemen loosely..

After going round and round about what Best Buy would not do for me I asked him what they WOULD do for me? He very simply told me that they would do nothing, not a thing, I would have to wait for the Geek Squad to call me when they had my MAC and information on the recovery.
Well as you could probably guess I was not satisfied with that answer... So I continued by asking him what Best Buys " Mission Statement " was. I wanted to know their goal was as a company and what they decided their role should be...
It took that man 35 minutes to find what I found by simply googling it in 2 minutes. So while sitting on hold waiting for him to find what I was already ready I had my plan of attack ready.
I might seem bitter, but please don't confuse this with me wanting the knowledge of what this company is meant to stand for..

The Best Buy Tragedy Continued...

Once I figured out that there was nothing for little old me to do I pulled out my Best Buy receipt and read over the extended warranty info and called my local Geek Squad. Of course conveniently located in the Best Buy where I made my original purchase. I packed up my MAC crossed my fingers ad hoped that they would be able to help.
Bright and early on a cool Saturday morning with my two girls in tow I carried in my MAC and my Lap top . I brought my Lap top with me because it was the reason I bought the MAC. I had brought the Lap top in the previous year because the disc drive was not working. I could not play or burn a cd. Well when I brought that in I paid $276 for nothing. They kept it for 8 days and I was told it was good to go. Got it home and nope, still not working. Not only that I was charged for them to down load all the info that was already on it. " Just in case" the guy told me. Funny, all the info is still there 1 year later.....
Any how I brought it with so they could look at it again because I was going to need to use it while my MAC was being fixed.
They guy bragged about the fact that he " wasn't going to charge me this time"
" yeah duh I thought to myself, why would you you never fixed it to begin with?"
I smiled and Thanked him for his generosity.
But the idiot let me in on an even bigger secret without even knowing it. See I guess my big toothy smile was all the encouragement he needed. AS he then felt the need to tell me what an easy fix it was.
" See all I have to do is us this flash drive to help me reactivate your driver" he smiled brightly
" See as good as new, you see this is a common problem with this model" Feeling like a superior being he beamed an all knowing smile and continued to educate me.

" Hmm ?" I said
" Let me ask you something then?" I asked him
" Sure shoot " he said still feeling superior
" Well if it is such a quick fix and as common as you say, then why did you have it for 8 days when I brought it in for the exact same problem last year?" I asked with a small grin
The bewildered look on his face spoke to me more then the words that fell out of his mouth next.
" umm well I think we had to do some diagnostic stuff to it to be certain" he answered a bit less enthusiastically then before
" Hmm " I said
" But you seem to know what the problem is this time without doing all that extra stuff, weird?" I said looking him dead in the face.
He really did not say much more after that. I continued to keep my girls from tearing the place apart as he reassured me that they would have the problem with my MAC figured out asap.
If only I had the same faith that he did, Luckily I did have my lap top to get me by while they had my lovely MAC.
Whatever faith I did have was thrown out the window with this Geeks next statement.
" Well we are going to have to send your MAC out as we don't have anyone on staff that feels comfortable enough to open it up here, see we don't actually fix computers here , we run a diagnostic on them and determine what else needs to be done."
Wow I thought, you pay all this money for an extended warranty , they lead you to believe they can fix anything when they only look at it the same way I did and say " wow we need to get this to someone that can fix it"
I guess I paid for that piece of mind then. The piece of mind that someone else will decide it needs to be fixed and they can get it there and back to you without any hassle to you..
HMMMMM that remains to be seen...

Here we go....

As eager as Best Buy is to sell you just about anything, I have found that they are not as eager or as qualified as one might think to help you when something goes wrong.
Here's my story. Keep in mind that these are my own experiences ... Still have stuff on going with them. Go figure....
I brought in my MAC that was cover under my Best Buy extended warranty..
I was lectured to the point of tears when I was told that there was a huge chance that my hard drive had crashed and all of the information on my computer would be lost.
See I never knew that you had to "back up" anything on your computer.
When I bought the MAC I was changing from a PC. So I looked to Best Buy to properly educate me as to what all I would need for my new computer.
Not once did the guy selling me the thing suggest an External Hard Drive..
Instead he suggested some software as I take a lot of pictures of my girls and was really excited about the cool movie making features the MAC offered.
Knowing I was getting it for one of those main reasons one would think that suggesting something that could store all of my very valuable pictures and movies of my girls would be a great recommendation.
Nope..... The guy did recommend I get an Ipod because Itunes is sooo great and an Ipod is after all made for the MAC all of the software was already built in and all.
So of course I got it.
Still no recommendation for an External Hard Drive, even though you can store all of the music he just told me I could download and how I could use my newly down loaded music in the movies I make of my daughters...

Ok I am getting a little mad starting to relive it all once again...

Got my MAC home and loved it...Still do by the way!

Well one bleak sad day , my MAC got stuck on a screen that I did not recognize." Hmm I thought to myself this strange"
So I pulled out my trusty MAC instruction book and my nightmare with Best Buy began......

" Dum Dum Dum"


Sorry my 2 year old needs juice. She gets no juice and the world will no longer exsist, and I dont know about you but I just don't need that type of

Best Buy

Best Buy!! Well lets get this started...... I bought my MAC there lets see September 2008. Good thing when they suggested that I buy the extended warranty I did. Because 4 days after my Apple warranty was over my gooood old MAC crashed.
So yes I was relieved that I had the Best Buy warranty. That was until it was time for them to et it repaired. What a joke..
Over the next couple of days I am going to post step by step all of the %&*@$ I wen through with good old Best buy.... What a nightmare.
Stay tuned and please let me know if you have had anything like this happen with you and Best Buy.. I am growing to dislike them very very much. I know I can not be the only one out here with a gripe !!!!

HI to anyone out there! lol
It has been forever but I am back. My MAC crashed and I had the very very very horrible un-pleasure of dealing with Best Buy Murrieta. More about that later. Just wanted to make my presence known once again.
Will really get into detail about my unfortunate experience very soon. Just wanted to stretch my little fingers on my beautiful old friend my tiny MAC keyboard. Check back to hear what I think about Best Buy!!!! May save you heart ache and most importantly your hard earned money!!!!!!!

AHHH I want to scream

I want to scream. I recently signed up at Bukisa. I wrote an article today only to find out that it was not saved. I went back to add a few things before I published it and the body of the article was not there. They have a feature called " auto save" which actually sort of slows you down when it saves every few seconds. See when it is busy saving whatever you just typed does not show up. I am sure I will figure out how to get around that. At least I hope I will . Oh well, just a something new to figure out!
I really do love there site is far easier to navigate!

What to do????

Have you ever been put into a situation that no matter what you do you just can't win? I am having one of those days! I tried to handle a situation with an extra gentle touch! Well why did I even bother? I might as well have said exactly what was on my mind. Now I am at a point that I am damned if I do and damned if I don't. See I have allowed someone to continue a particular behavior and I have finally had enough. I don't get why some think that they should be allowed to behave how ever they want. I never want to hurt any one's feelings, never want to cause anyone pain or embarrassment. Spent the whole morning trying to figure the best way to deal with it all.
I am going to take a deep breathe and handle it head on. After all, I am damned if I do and damned if I don't after all. Now hopefully through all of this I will find the meaning of life, learn what I was meant to be when I grow up... Ha Ha who am I kidding?

Lets get this thing started already

Lets just start by saying...." Happy Friday" all.
Watching the world go by, If only I could see it through the eyes of my girls. How unreal it would be to have no worries, no cares. Feeling free in your own messy hair and dirty hands. Eww ok maybe not. I like clean hands and combed hair. Actually brushed hair, I never actually use a comb. I guess that is just another something we say that means something else. Like " Give me just a second I will be right there" or " Can you please hold just just a minute" You are never actually there in a second and if I were only on hold for a minute I would actually wait and not watch my cell phone minutes fly away never to be seen again. Any how off on a tangent.

Did I mention I love I write ow to articles there and get paid to do so. I am working towards making as much as I possibly can. I am happy to say that since I have started I have gotten paid each month. I am trying to navigate my way to the big bucks. f only all of the e-mails from foreign countries telling me that someone had left me millions were actually true. But what fun would that actually be? Working towards a goals is not so bad. I guess we all have to do it right?
Off to work towards my goal...
